Rowena
Wilson is from the Ashley Gardens Residents Association
in Westminster, and thoroughly enjoys central London living.
Rowena originally qualified as a town planner after completing
an M.A. in Town and Regional Planning at Sheffield University,
and she remains a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
(MRTPI). In the late 1980s she decided to re-qualify
as a solicitor and attended the College of Law before being
admitted in 1993.
As a solicitor, Rowena has worked in both private practice
and local government specialising in planning, transport infrastructure,
housing and regeneration. She is a member of the Law Societys
Planning Panel and has lectured on planning law at Warwick
University and South Bank University. Her role in the Ashley
Gardens RA has renewed her interest in the housing aspect
of her practice.
Originally from Stratford-upon-Avon, Rowena has always been
interested in the theatre and has taken this interest further
by training as a make-up artist. She volunteers for the British
Red Cross and is a keen, albeit novice, skier and in-line
skater
